Learning from my Peers

I overheard one of my classmates say that one of the best ways to learn is to teach. How appropriate for what we have been doing in class since we turned in our first literacy project? Since we are becoming teachers, isn't it in our best interest to actually teach and through ENG 408 we have the opportunity to teach to our peers. They can give us feedback that is helpful and beneficial for us to have because in order for us to become the best teachers that we can, we have to be open to positive criticism to better ourselves for the future.

We need to learn from each other in order to better our teaching strategies and we are able to accomplish this because of the opportunity we are given in ENG 408.

Rereading English

I've always thought of English as reading literature from books and that the only way to experience literature is through books. However, my eyes have been opened to much more, literature is not just experienced through novels, poems, plays, it can be interpreted through multiple mediums.

That is what I have learned through ENG 408. That English and literature are not just books, but that we can read the world and interpret it as text.

The world is a text and we have the power to interpret it.
